Turning the "Drop Cut" feature OFF provides a smoother transition for the stop-and-go motion of a stitch weld.
How to Utilize the Drop Cut Feature
- Turn on the machine. When the SP logo appears, press the Setup button to access the Basic Setup Menu.
- Navigate to "Initial Speed." Once highlighted, press the Setup button.
- Toggle to "Drop Cut." Use the down arrow to find "Drop Cut", then turn the option OFF using the right control knob.
- Restart the machine. Press the Mode button twice to restart the machine and return to the main welding screen.
- Adjust Arc Dynamics. Click the Steel Torch trigger, then use the down arrow on the Steel screen to set "Arc Dynamics" to +2.
- Enjoy the enhanced performance!
